Ghana’s 70th Independence Anniversary may be about five months away, but the country’s High Commission in Canada has already penciled in the Diaspora Property Expo (DPE) Canada 2027 as an integral part of its celebrations.
DPE is a major real estate exhibition designed for Ghanaians in the diaspora to explore property ownership and investment opportunities back home. It took off in 2025 and Canada is one of the countries to host it in 2027, just like it did in last year’s rollout.
The ‘Diaspora Property Expo (DPE) Canada 2027 – Ghana@70 Edition’ will be officially launched at the country’s Consulate-General in Toronto on Friday, November 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. under the patronage of the High Commissioner, Prof. Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh.
The launch will be a platform to announce the first 20 top Ghanaian exhibitors for the ‘DPE Canada 2027 – Ghana@70 Edition’. Leading real estate developers, mortgage banks, financial service providers and allied service providers in Ghana’s real estate space are among the scheduled exhibitors.
Officials due to speak at the launch include Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources; Dr. James Ato Orleans-Lindsay, President, Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) and Mr. Emmanuel Jeffrey, Acting CEO of the Real Estate Agency Council (REAC).
Organised by Diaspora Property Investment Ltd, Aim 2 Impact, Made in Ghana Consulting Ltd and other strategic partners, the expo will allow only vetted and REAC-verified exhibitors to participate to ensure 100% transparency and avoid any form of fraudulent dealings.
According to the Exhibitions Coordinator of Made in Ghana Consulting Ltd, Jennifer Effah Sasu, the launch will also unveil the full roadmap to DPE 2027, including activities for Ghana Week in Toronto 2027 and the Ghana@70 celebrations in Canada.
Mrs. Lydia Donkor, DPE’s Communications Assistant, said DPE 2027 would not be a talk shop but a serious marketplace where ready buyers will be able to sign contracts with exhibitors on the spot.
‘DPE Canada 2027 – Ghana@70 Edition’ is organised in partnership with the Ghana High Commission in Canada, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources, Real Estate Agency Council and Ghana Real Estate Developers Association.
It is co-sponsored by Dover Company Ltd, Chiraq Multimedia Ltd and Signum Developers.
