Legatics, the transaction management platform, has joined Harvey’s Connector Library, creating a unified deal experience for lawyers. To explain how it all works and what it means, AL spoke to Legatics’ CEO, Anthony Seale – see video below.
Here’s how it works.
Legatics explained that it ‘holds what a transactional AI needs and cannot otherwise get at, which is the live state of the deal: what is outstanding, who owes it, what has been signed and what changed this morning. This is the context law firms need to conduct more informed drafting, research and analysis in Harvey’.

Meanwhile, ‘Harvey is the place where many lawyers start their work, reviewing, drafting and analysing documents at a level firms have not had before. That work is greatly enhanced by the context of the deal around the document. The Legatics connector, built on the Legatics MCP server, delivers it directly from the deal record, whether the question is about a single matter or the firm’s transactions as a whole’.
Thus: ‘Harvey users can query real matter data held in Legatics: parties and deal facts, the status of the checklists and trackers running on the matter, binders and the contents of data rooms. That works for a single deal or across many at once, so a lawyer can ask where one deal stands as easily as which of their matters need escalation this week. Answers come from Legatics as the source of truth, not from a static export.’

Last words go to Rob MacAdam, Chief Product & Strategy Officer at Legatics, who added: ‘This partnership came from our mutual customers. They were asking Harvey for a Legatics connection before we had started talking to each other, because they could see the value of the two systems working together on a live deal.’
And Nate Schlein, Head of Product Business Development at Harvey, concluded: ‘Legal teams rely on Harvey for transactional work. Connecting the Legatics MCP server with Harvey now means a lawyer gets an answer grounded in the current state of a deal, with the firm’s own permissions intact.’
