Methu, while appearing on a television interview October 11, claimed that the Kiharu MP is a covert agent working inside the opposition on the president's behalf.
Hitting back, Nyoro noted tha Methu can't be prefecting others yet he is a beneficiary of Ruto's magnanimity, alleging that the very house the senator lives in was purchased by the president.
Nyoro, who also leads the People's Party of Kenya (PPK), was speaking Tuesday, October 13, in Kimana Town, Kajiado County, during the People's Tour.

He was accompanied by former Interior Cabinet Secretary and Jubilee Party leader Fred Matiang'i.
Nyoro Responds to 'Mole' Claims
Methu, who serves as Secretary-General designate and acting spokesperson of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), suggested that both Nyoro and Matiang'i were operating as informants for the ruling administration within the opposition.
Nyoro rejected the accusations with force, turning the allegations back on Methu and questioning his standing to speak on loyalty to the opposition cause.
"Just the other day, I saw another prominent figure on TV, a bigwig, dismissing others in the opposition as mere 'projects.' Yet, the very house he lives in right now, the one he wakes up in, was purchased by William Ruto. So, we tell you: if you are in the opposition, let go of the anger, the envy, and the jealousy. We in the opposition stand united. And finally, let's stop deceiving one another. We must stop imitating William Ruto's culture of deception," Nyoro said.
Nyoro's Path Into the Opposition
The MP stated that his move into the opposition was not on anyone's invitation, and that he would not yield to pressure from those attempting to control who belongs in the coalition against Ruto.
Nyoro was re-elected as Kiharu MP in 2022 on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, but subsequently left the ruling party to establish PPK as his political vehicle.
His falling-out with the President followed his removal from the chairmanship of the National Assembly's Budget and Appropriations Committee, a position he held from 2022 to March 2025.
He used his platform in Kajiado to urge opposition figures to set aside internal squabbles and concentrate on the shared goal of removing Ruto from office ahead of the 2027 general election.
The opposition field currently includes Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua of the People's Liberation Party, Eugene Wamalwa of DAP Kenya, DCP leader and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Matiang'i, and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna of the Linda Mwananchi movement.
Nyoro has not publicly committed to whether he intends to mount a presidential bid in 2027 or seek re-election as Kiharu MP.
