MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. Russia will continue to engage with the US on economic projects and explain that American sanctions harm the US itself, Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President’s Special Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), told reporters on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week (REW).
"We will continue economic cooperation, as instructed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is not just about the diesel deal. There are many other opportunities for economic and investment cooperation with the US - opportunities that benefit Russia, the United States, and global markets alike. We also see that such examples demonstrate that US sanctions primarily harm the US itself; <…> therefore, we will continue to engage with the States on economic and investment projects and continue to explain, using concrete examples, that American sanctions primarily harm the American people and American farmers," he said.
The Russian Energy Week international forum is taking place in Moscow from October 14 to 16, supported by the Russian government, the Ministry of Energy, and the Moscow government. The forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation. TASS is an information partner of the event.
