Bogota is preparing for a new edition of Hip Hop al Parque, one of Colombia’s most important free music festivals and a major event for hip hop culture in Latin America. The festival will take place on Oct. 24-25, 2026, at Simon Bolivar Metropolitan Park, where national and international artists will gather for two days dedicated to music and urban cultural expression.
The 28th edition will be held under the concept “En la esquina se escribe la historia” (“The Story Is Written on the Corner”), a theme that recognizes neighborhoods and streets as spaces where artistic expression emerges, identities are shaped and community ties are strengthened. The lineup will bring together 28 acts and artists representing different generations and styles within the hip hop scene.
International artists join Bogota’s Hip Hop al Parque lineup
The 2026 program will feature guests from the United States, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, France and Spain, who will share the stage with representatives of Colombia’s urban music scene. International performers include American rapper Rah Digga alongside MC Rampage, Brazilian group Da Guedes, Chilean rapper Portavoz with DJ Jopsen, Mexican artist Hispana and French project Potsikei.
The lineup will also feature Geassassin and the Mexican duo Solo Cadaver & Drama Theme, as well as La Dupla, a project bringing together Spanish producer Eddy Mugre and Colombian artist Gaceloide. Their participation will introduce Bogota audiences to different branches of the genre, ranging from socially conscious rap to alternative and experimental sounds.
Colombian artists will play a central role in the festival. The lineup includes Ali A.K.A. Mind, Lianna, Zetazeta, Izla and Pielroja, each bringing different experiences and perspectives to the national scene. Their performances will showcase the diversity of sounds and styles that have developed around hip hop in cities such as Bogota, Medellin and Cali.
In addition to established performers, the festival will provide a platform for emerging talent and local acts selected through cultural funding programs. This approach will bring together established names and projects seeking to reach wider audiences.
A festival born in Bogota and shaped by urban culture
The history of Hip Hop al Parque began in 1996 with an event called Rap a la Torta, held at La Media Torta, a cultural venue in Bogota. Three years later, in 1999, the program expanded to include other elements of hip hop culture, such as breakdancing and graffiti, and adopted the name by which it is known today.
Since then, the festival has established itself as a platform for musicians, DJs, dancers, visual artists and cultural organizers. Its continued presence on Bogota’s cultural calendar also reflects hip hop’s role as a form of expression connected to neighborhood experiences, youth culture and the social realities of local communities.
This year’s concept highlights the relationship between culture and territory. The corner, understood as an everyday meeting place, represents the kind of space where lyrics, rhythms, dance moves and artistic ideas can emerge before reaching larger stages. Through this theme, the festival seeks to recognize the local stories that have contributed to the growth of the hip hop movement.
Music, dance and graffiti beyond the concerts
Beyond its musical performances, Hip Hop al Parque’s program will include graffiti exhibitions, dance battles and cultural showcases that will allow audiences to explore other disciplines associated with the movement. These activities complement the concerts and present hip hop as a culture that encompasses different forms of creativity, participation and artistic expression.
The event is part of Festivales al Parque, a district cultural initiative led by the District Institute of Arts, which promotes public access to performances and artistic activities throughout Bogota.
This edition will also feature 12 artists selected through the 2025 Hip Hop al Parque cultural grants program, including MCs and DJs. Their participation will give them the opportunity to present their work to new audiences and share the program with established performers from Colombia and abroad.
