Shehzad Poonawalla on a video call with his mother in ‘Rise and Fall’ Season 2 Prime Video
After a gruelling stint in the Basement, the Workers achieved the season’s first Takhta Palat in Rise and Fall Season 2’s latest episode, dramatically shifting the balance of power within the Tower.
Despite a heated exchange between Jashwanth and Gautam during the Printing Press Challenge, the Workers got 66 pamphlets approved to seal a sensational victory.
The once-powerless Workers claimed the Penthouse as the new Rulers, while all former Rulers, barring Ultimate Ruler Niharika Tiwari, were sent downstairs. The dethroned Rulers discovered that the Basement was not quite the nightmare they made it out to be.
Meanwhile, Niharika wasted no time revealing who was disliked in the Tower, while Manish, Jashwanth and Rishabh began cooking up an alliance of their own.
With the Tower’s hierarchy turned upside down, personal spats began. Shehzad and Swara discussed Irina’s temperament, setting off another confrontation, while Karan and Swara reminded Irina that everyone had the right to express themselves.
With a fresh dose of drama, actress Dipali Sharma from Duniya Ki Thain Thain walked in with a tale of love, obsession and betrayal. The Rulers had to name the person they believed could betray them: Gautam named Priyanka and Jashwanth; Jashwanth named Sonam; Sonam named Manish; Manish named Sonam; Priyanka named Gautam; Niharika named Rishabh; and Rishabh named Niharika.
Shehzad’s birthday brought a letter from his family, a cake for the Rulers and a special pastry for Priyanka. Yet it was his video call with his mother that truly stole the spotlight. Their heartfelt conversation left Shehzad emotional and soon had the housemates teary-eyed too. The emotional pause was short-lived, as Gautam set out to build his very own Gautam City, hoping to bring Jashwanth and Rishabh into his fold.
With Week 4 rolling in, there was no respite as everyone was nominated for elimination, and the Lift announced the end of Niharika’s tenure as Ultimate Ruler. With the throne back up for grabs, the Rulers had to name who they believed was least capable of claiming the crown. Sonam, Gautam and Priyanka came under fire, but it was Sonam who ultimately got knocked out of the race.
Suddenly, the Red Room opened for the first time since the Takhta Palat, with a chess-inspired game where one decisive move could spell checkmate for a contender. The first pair, Manisha and Jashwanth, must choose between Niharika and Rishabh to decide who is unfit to rule.
