Continuing its drive against narcotics, Jairampur Police apprehended two women with 186.77 grams of suspected heroin in Changlang district on Friday.
According to police, a team from Jairampur Police Station carried out the operation on 16 October 2026 and intercepted the two accused who were found in possession of the contraband.
The seizure and arrest were made in the presence of a magistrate and independent witnesses, following due procedure.
The accused have been identified as Posey Hakhun and Yamri Kimsing, both residents of Panchun Village, Kharsang.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Jairampur Police Station and further investigation is in progress.
