So, how is the Passport Index calculated and what makes the UAE take the lead?
Here’s the breakdown of how things are measured; It’s all based on points system where countries that can travel without any requirements of applying for visas, permits or electronic travel authorisations. Arton Capital, usually calculates these in real time. The methodology involves passports issued by 193 UN (United Nations) member states along with six additional territories, bringing the total to 199.
Showcasing the country’s position and influence geopolitical stance, economic strategy, and international trust. And taking the top spot this year, the UAE has officially gained some bragging rights. But here’s what truly makes bragging worth it – nearly two decades ago the country was ranked at 62 and has since then managed to rise through the ranks, snagging the top spot.
This isn’t just a note on mobility, rather shows the massive globalisation, diversivation, economic and political growth the country has gone through over the years.
