By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police have confirmed that missing Police Constable Kenyon Barrow, who disappeared in September, has been found safe after approximately 40 days.
The confirmation came on Thursday morning, October 22, through an official update shared by police with members of the media. Authorities confirmed that Barrow, who is from Orange Walk Town, had been located and was safe.
Barrow was reported missing on September 17 after relatives lost contact with him. He was last seen around September 11 or 12, prompting concerns about his whereabouts.
His disappearance triggered an extensive search involving the Belize Police Department, Belize Defence Force personnel and community volunteers. Search teams reportedly used drones to examine heavily vegetated areas around Orange Walk, while officers conducted house-to-house inquiries in an effort to locate him.
Barrow, who was attached to the Orange Walk Police Formation, had reportedly stopped reporting for duty on July 30, several weeks before he was reported missing.
The news that he has been found safe brings a positive end to weeks of uncertainty surrounding his disappearance.
Police have not yet disclosed where Barrow was found, what circumstances led to his disappearance or whether he will be returning to active duty.
