Blue Planet III in Concert, Kula Shaker, The Wombats, Spiritualized and Rebecca Black are all coming to Scotland in 2027 - with tickets on sale October 16.

With the end of the year creeping ever closer, already music fans will be checking their diaries and securing tickets for concerts in 2027.

Already huge stars such as Noah Kahan and Rod Stewart have announced Scottish gigs for next year, while bands such as Hear’Say and Liberty X have revealed massive reunion tours.

Following the summer and festival season, announcements are coming in thick and fast. If you don’t want to miss out, here are 5 gigs coming to Scotland next year with tickets on sale this Friday (October 16).

Blue Planet III Live in Concert — Sunday, May 23 2027

OVO Hydro, Glasgow | Tickets on sale 11am on Friday, October 16

Audiences will once again be able to dive beneath the surface of the sea when Blue Planet III returns to television this autumn - as well as in person next year.

As well as a special London show, Blue Planet III Live in Concert will head to arenas around the UK, bringing the series’ new score to audiences in Glasgow on Sunday, May 23 2027.

From Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer and Thom Lukas and Laurentia Editha for Bleeding Fingers Music, the music will be performed live by the acclaimed City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

Hosted by the series’ executive producer Elizabeth White, a leading figure in the BBC’s natural-history filmmaking, special footage from Blue Planet III will be show on a state-of-the-art display, which is one of the largest of its kind. For the event in Glasgow, ticket prices will range from £49.90 to £83.95.

Kula Shaker — Tuesday, March 16 2027

Kula Shaker will perform in Glasgow next March as part of their K-Reinkarnate tour, which sees the band celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album K.

Sharing its name with their upcoming re-recording of the album, the psychedelic rockers will stop at Glasgow’s SWG3 Galvanizers on Tuesday, March 16 2027. Other planned dates include Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton, Newcastle, Cardiff and London.

The Wombats — Tuesday, April 13 2027

O2 Academy, Glasgow | Tickets on sale 9am on Friday, October 16

Following their headline gig in Glasgow this summer, The Wombats will return to the city in early 2027 while celebrating 20 years of their debut album A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation.

The record features tracks such as Kill the Director, Moving to New York, and Let’s Dance to Joy Division. which helped launch the English band into stardom upon its release in 2007.

For their special special 20th anniversary show at the O2 Academy on Tuesday, April 13 next year, The Wombats will play their debut album in full alongside a number of their other hits. Support for the Glasgow gig will come from Cherryholt, with other shows lined up for Manchester, London and Liverpool.

Spiritualized — Friday, April 9 2027

Spiritualized have announced a special unplugged show in Edinburgh next year as part of their UK and Ireland Acoustic Mainlines Tour. It is one of several extra dates added due to demand, with the rock band from Rugby to headline Queen’s Hall on Friday, April 9 2027.

Spiritualized will be joined by string quartet and gospel singers for intimate arrangements, with other gigs planned for Nottingham, Dublin, London and more. For their evening in Edinburgh, tickets will cost between £51.50 and £68.

Rebecca Black — Thursday, April 29 2027

Rebecca Black will bring Exhibitionism on Tour to Glasgow early next year, which sees Black perform as Anaheim Star. The rising pop artist recently supported Hilary Duff across Europe, and is set to kick off her own UK headline tour at SWG3 TV Studio on Thursday, April 29 2027.

While she first rose to prominence in 2011 when she released her debut single Friday on YouTube, which went viral. Black released her debut album Let Her Burn in 2023, while her second record Age of the Exhibitionist came out earlier this year.
