Following the New York Giants' Week 4 win over the Arizona Cardinals, wide receiver Malik Nabers publicly expressed his desire for more targets in the team's offensive scheme.
Head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy heard Nabers' feedback loud and clear.
In this past Sunday's 27-27 overtime tie with the Washington Commanders, Nabers reeled in 11 catches for 121 yards and one touchdown on a whopping 20 targets from quarterback Jameis Winston.
Nagy joked about Nabers' Week 5 usage when speaking to reporters on Thursday.
"He did get some targets, wink wink. I can't believe you haven't asked me that question yet," Nagy said with a laugh. "Too many, jeez. Is he happy with 20?"
Nabers, who posted his best stat line of the year since returning from his 2025 ACL injury in Week 1, said he was surprised by the fact that he saw 20 targets.
"I'm surprised it was 20. [Actually] I can see how it was 20. A lot of go balls [against] cover zero, trying to get the ball out quick," Nabers said. "Hey, I'll take it."
Nagy laughed at the notion that Nabers was surprised.
"He's full of crap. He knew," Nagy said.
