Trump ballroom donors revealed in Washington Post report

Major donors to President Trump’s White House ballroom project were revealed in a new list obtained by The Washington Post on Thursday.

According to the Post, the list reveals more than $330 million in private donations to fund the ballroom effort, most of which was donated prior to the demolition of the East Wing in October 2025.

The top donors include the Adelson Family Foundation, a pro-Israel nonprofit, as well as major tech companies Apple and Nvidia, all of which gave $25 million each.

Lockheed Martin, Microsoft and Palantir donated $10 million each, Google gave $22 million through a lawsuit settlement with Trump, and Meta and Amazon each gave $5 million.

The president has had a cozier relationship with tech giants since returning to the White House, notably with SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who played a major role in the Trump administration in early 2025 before a falling out with the president.

Musk has since returned to politics, spending hundreds of millions to boost Republican candidates in the midterms. He is not mentioned as a donor to the ballroom project.

The Washington Post noted that Trump himself was not listed as a donor to the ballroom despite past statements that he would partially fund the project.

“The White House Ballroom is being privately funded by many generous Patriots, Great American Companies, and, yours truly,” Trump wrote on Truth Social at the time of the demolition. “This Ballroom will be happily used for Generations to come!”

Trump had hoped to raise $400 million to fund the ballroom, and the Post’s list shows he is short of that.

The president’s ballroom project is one of his many efforts to renovate Washington — and also one of his most controversial.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation sued the Trump administration to halt the ballroom’s construction, but the Supreme Court allowed construction to go forward for now. The Trump administration argued in court that pausing the project could pose a threat to national security.
