An England international has made a call on his PREM future, while a former Test ace is headed to the URC on a short-term deal.
Here are all the latest rugby rumours, transfers and contract renewals.
England star makes call on PREM future
Northampton Saints prop Emmanuel Iyogun has committed his future to the East Midlands outfit, penning a fresh contract extension beyond the current season.
The 25-year-old front-rower has already made 104 appearances for the club after making his professional debut in the 2019/20 season, and has since helped the club win two PREM titles and reach the Investec Champions Cup final.
He also becomes the latest England international to re-sign with Northampton, following Tommy Freeman, Henry Pollock and Tom Pearson in committing to the club.
Iyogun made his England Test debut this July, coming off the bench in their Nations Championship victory against Argentina.
“Staying at Saints was a very easy decision for me, a real no-brainer,” the loosehead said on his new contract. “I love the club. I’ve grown up here, come through the Academy, and now get to play alongside a lot of the same people who have been part of that journey with me.
“It doesn’t feel that long ago that I was playing for the Under-18s, and now I’m sitting here with more than 100 senior appearances. I’ve loved every part of the journey.
“There have been challenges along the way, injuries and difficult periods, but those moments have shaped me as a player and person, and they make the good times even more rewarding.
“What excites me most is the drive across the club to keep improving. Everyone here is constantly pushing for more, not just in terms of winning trophies but becoming better every day. That ambition and mentality were a huge factor in my decision to stay.
“The competition within our front-row group is a massive part of that, and raises the standard every day. Training is competitive, challenging and demanding, and that’s exactly the sort of environment that helps you improve. My biggest goal is simply to keep getting better and developing my game.
“Having had my first taste of international rugby, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t ambitious about what’s next, but my focus remains on improving year after year and being the best player I can be for Saints.
“There are so many people who have helped me get to this point. My mum, my family and friends, and my girlfriend, Alys, have been incredible throughout the journey, especially during the tougher moments. I’d also like to thank the coaches who have supported me over the years, particularly Mark Hopley, who first moved me to prop in the Academy. The way the coaches invest in players and their development makes this a special place to be, and I’m excited for the next chapter.”
Also commenting, Saints director of rugby, Phil Dowson, added: “Manny’s story is a brilliant one for the club and a fantastic example of what our pathway can produce.
“From coming through the Academy to becoming a centurion and England international, he’s earned every opportunity through his hard work, resilience and willingness to keep developing.
“That was reflected in the reaction across the club when he won his first England cap this summer. The celebrations were incredibly genuine because everybody understands the journey he’s been on and how much he’s invested in this environment. Seeing him rewarded at international level was a proud moment for all of us.
“Over the years, Manny has developed into an extremely effective loosehead prop. It’s a position that demands a huge amount, particularly for someone who moved there later in their junior career, but his set-piece work and understanding of the role have become real strengths of his game.
“What has impressed me most is the way he’s handled adversity. Injuries and setbacks can derail players, but Manny has consistently shown maturity, determination and a desire to come back better. Those experiences have helped shape him into the player and person he is today.
“He’s gone from being a young player learning from experienced props such as Alex Waller to becoming a key figure within our front-row group. While he’s already accumulated a huge amount of experience, he still has plenty of growth ahead of him, which is an exciting prospect for both Manny and the club.
“Most importantly, he’s a brilliant character who embodies the values we want at Northampton Saints. He’s ambitious, works incredibly hard, and is constantly looking for ways to improve, so we’re delighted he’ll continue his journey with us.”
Ex-England man in URC switch
Glasgow Warriors have bolstered their hooker stock ahead of the start of the Investec Champions Cup campaign this weekend, with four-Test-capped England hooker Jack Singleton agreeing a move.
The 30-year-old, who is also Scotland-qualified, heads to the Scottish capital after stints with Gloucester, Saracens and Toulon, and has now put pen to paper on a short-term deal with the Warriors.
Singleton recently returned to full fitness after missing the 2025/26 season following a cardiac event, and began training with his new employers earlier this week.
“It’s been really good so far,” Singleton said of his arrival at the Warriors.

“All the lads have been really welcoming, I’m incredibly grateful to be here and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into it with the boys.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to be back in rugby. It’s been a long old year, and for Glasgow to give me this opportunity is something for which I’m incredibly grateful. I’m excited to be in the clear and get back out onto a pitch.
“I watched Glasgow a lot in the Champions Cup last year. I saw that run they went on, and watched them beat Toulouse at home where the atmosphere looked incredible. They play an expansive style of rugby and I know they’re how strong their pack has been for the last couple of years, especially around that driving maul, so I’m looking forward to learning off the lads here and getting involved in that.”
Also commenting, Glasgow head coach, Franco Smith, said: “With Gregor Hiddleston and Seb Stephen having both made their Scotland debuts over the summer and with both players likely to be involved during the Nations Championship and Guinness Six Nations, Jack brings a wealth of top-flight experience into our environment that will benefit us during those periods.
“He is someone who has already begun to throw himself into becoming a Warrior, and is willing to work hard for his team-mates and his club. He will also provide a positive influence on the development of our three young hookers.
“We are pleased to welcome him into our environment and look forward to working closely with him over the coming months.”
