Gargash: Reviving Joint Gulf Action is Essential

Abu Dhabi – Anwar Gargash, the diplomatic advisor to the UAE President, stated on Monday that reviving joint Gulf action is essential, noting that targeting Saudi Arabia undermines the security of the UAE and the Gulf states.
Gargash wrote in a tweet on his X platform: “Since the beginning of the aggression against the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, stemming from the aggressor’s miscalculation that they were the weakest link in a war we sought to avoid, it has become clear that we are all targeted, and that our security is indivisible. Targeting our sister nation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, undermines the security of the UAE and all the Gulf states.”
Gargash continued: “There is a need to revive joint Gulf action, particularly in its security and defense aspects, and to strengthen the collective security system. This is the dimension that has suffered from a serious deficiency, which has encouraged others to attack us.”
The diplomatic advisor to the UAE President emphasized that “Gulf security is a shared responsibility that cannot tolerate negligence or postponement.”
