Abu Dhabi is in advanced talks to sell the technology behind TAMM, its digital government services app, to US city governments. The platform’s services span business registration, ID renewal, and, since last year, virtual weddings.
The emirate has launched TAMM Global, a state-owned company that will license the system, with a US tech firm helping distribute and host it in the US, expected to be its first overseas customer in the next few months. The program is part of the emirate’s larger ambition of becoming the world’s first fully AI-native government by 2027, a goal it has put 13 billion dirhams ($3.5 billion) behind.
