We're well into autumn now, which means we've entered our favourite season for giving the home a little refresh. And if there's one place we always start, it's the bed. Swapping out your duvet cover is one of the quickest (and cheapest) ways to make an entire bedroom feel different, without redecorating or spending a fortune.
This year, there's one pattern that's impossible to ignore: tartan. Between The Traitors, heritage-inspired fashion trends and cosy cabin aesthetics continuing to dominate our social feeds, checks are officially having a moment. So when we spotted Primark's new brushed cotton tartan duvet set for just £16, we did a double take.
Not only does it tap perfectly into the trend, but it genuinely looks far more expensive than its price tag suggests.
Made from 100% brushed cotton, the duvet cover has a lovely soft, cosy finish that's perfect for colder nights, while the deep navy and forest green tartan feels versatile rather than overly festive. We'd happily keep this on our bed right through autumn and winter, pairing just as beautifully with crisp white sheets as it does chunky knitted throws and velvet cushions.
And we love the price tag to be honest. It's only £16 for a double set, £20 for a king and £22 for a super king. It's also one of the most affordable ways to embrace this season's biggest interiors trend, so if you've been looking to give your bedroom an autumn update, this might just be the easiest way to do it.
