NRB Bank PLC has launched Non-Resident Convertible Taka Accounts (NRCTA) under the slogan "NRB Bank for Non-Resident Bangladeshis".
The service was formally launched at a ceremony at the bank's corporate head office in Dhaka on 25 October 2026, according to the press release.
Tarek Reaz Khan, managing director and CEO of NRB Bank, launched the service alongside Anwar Uddin and Kimiwa Saddat, additional managing directors.
M Rashidul Huda, deputy managing director, and Oli Ahad Chowdhury, senior executive vice-president and head of retail banking, also joined the formal launch.
NRB Bank said it was among the first banks in Bangladesh to introduce the product.
