In Planetbase, you'll have to ensure your settlers' survival while building bases on different planets. Make sure you have enough resources to meet their needs and overcome the various threats that could hinder your progress.
Developed by Madruga Works, the studio behind Dawn of Man, Planetbase is a city builder in which you must help a group of space settlers establish a base on a distant planet. And right now, this game is available for $7.49 on Steam.
There are four worlds available, each with its own challenges. But whether you're on a frozen, desert, lunar, or stormy world, your goal will be the same: build a base where colonists can live. To do this, you'll need to use solar or wind power. Gather raw materials and process them through production lines. Grow vegetables and produce meat to meet everyone's needs.
As you progress through your mission, more settlers will join your colony. However, make sure you have enough resources. If necessary, you can also build robots to help you with difficult tasks. Nevertheless, keeping your colony alive won't be easy, because you'll have to deal with extreme weather conditions and other threats.
On Steam, many players praise its gameplay mechanics and the variety of worlds. Players still appreciate its graphics, even though the game was released on October 16, 2015. However, some find the gameplay repetitive, as only the beginning of each game seems challenging. In addition, some issues have been reported concerning the AI, and bugs are still present.
Despite this, 79% of its 10,490 Steam reviews are positive at the time of writing. Finally, according to SteamDB, this 50% sale ends on October 26, 2026, and its price will then go back to $14.99.
