You can never wish someone too much good luck. But how to keep those two words interesting? Ginori 1735 has designed a whole collection that turns well-wishing into an art, because it knows that luck travels better when received in the form of a beautiful hand-decorated porcelain mug.
The centuries-old Florentine tableware house has been making porcelain special since 1735. With Fortunae, it has designed a range of giftware and home decor that turns our most trusty symbols of luck into refined contemporary talismans.
The cherished fourleaf clover, horseshoe and dice are often seen hanging from a rearview mirror or dangling from charm bracelets, but at Ginori they adorn precious plates and espresso sets. Why risk it with just one lucky charm? Ginori has designed an object to see you through each part of your day, so you can drink from your lucky cup in the morning, eat off your lucky plate in the evening and keep jewelry in your lucky box at night.
The brand brings the splendor of the Renaissance to our modern lives. Fortunae is inspired by the Game of the Goose, a favored pastime of the late 1500s where different symbols represented the various turns of the wheel of fortune. They have been translated into Ginori designs with an ironic twist, so that the goose on the lid of a jar, the dragonfly on a box, the key and the ladybird are all symbols of good luck and light-heartedness.
They appear in lucky red, wish blue, mocha brown and delicate shades of celadon, on pieces ranging from trays, teapots and mugs to decorative boxes and porcelain miniatures. Each design can stand alone or form a set, representing ever-changing personal stories of good fortune. Every piece is made in Florence - where the newest tech meets centuries-old artistry.
As experts in the act of giving, Ginori 1735 also believes firmly in the importance of being generous to yourself. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
