Aspire Daiso, the operator of South Korea's chain of fixed-price household goods stores, said on the 16th that it has relaunched the Daiso Samsung Card with expanded benefits.
The renewed card widens discounts at Daiso stores and on Daiso Mall, the company's online shopping platform. Existing cardholders are also eligible for the newly added Daiso Mall discounts.
At Daiso stores and on Daiso Mall, customers can receive up to 4,000 won in discounts on each purchase of 10,000 won or more. The discount applies up to five times a month each for offline and online purchases, for a combined maximum of 10 times a month. Cardholders who spent at least 300,000 won in the previous month can receive up to 30,000 won in monthly discounts, while those who spent at least 600,000 won qualify for up to 40,000 won. Payments that received discounts also count toward the prior-month spending requirement.
At Daiso stores, cardholders earn an additional 0.5% of their payment amount in Daiso membership points. On Daiso Mall, purchases receive a 1% discount with no limit on spending or discount amounts, extending the benefits to online shopping.
The number of card designs has increased to two from one. The annual fee is 8,000 won for both the domestic-only and international (VISA) versions, and applications can be made through the Samsung Card website and the Monimo app.
"We added Daiso Mall discounts to the existing Daiso Samsung Card so that customers can enjoy broader benefits both online and offline," an Aspire Daiso official said. "We plan to continue improving shopping convenience for customers and introducing a variety of services."
