ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Design Vetting Committee on Saturday approved five construction projects in Islamabad, ARY News reported.
The approved projects include two high-rise buildings located in the capital’s commercial hub, the Blue Area.
One of the high-rise structures will stand at 659 feet tall with 45 storeys, while the second skyscraper will rise to 580 feet with 42 storeys.
The CDA is actively encouraging the construction of high-rise buildings and international-standard hotels in the capital. Officials noted that modern vertical development in the Blue Area will boost commercial and trade activities.
Meanwhile, conditional approval for three other projects has been linked to meeting specific technical requirements.
Reiterating its commitment to transforming Islamabad into a modern, tourist-friendly city, the CDA instructed developers to maintain high construction standards, ensure structural stability, and strictly enforce fire safety regulations.
