Trinity Airways (091810.KS) said on the 20th that it held a bonding trip called "From Detection Dog To Companion Dog," an adoption program for retired quarantine detection dogs, together with Sono Pet and the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency.
The event took place on the 17th and 18th at Sono Pet Club & Resort Vivaldi Park in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province. About 20 people attended, including families hoping to adopt and those who had already confirmed adoptions, selected through an advance recruitment process that began in May this year.
The program was designed to help retired quarantine detection dogs that have served national quarantine efforts begin new lives in caring homes, and to promote responsible pet adoption practices among prospective adoptive families.
Prospective adoptive families took part in a range of hands-on programs, including an introduction to the role of quarantine detection dogs and the adoption system, rotating one-on-one bonding sessions with individual dogs, bonding, walking and massage training guided by Sono Pet's professional trainers, field games and treasure hunts with the dogs, and customized one-on-one evening bonding walks.
The Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency also provided one-on-one adoption counseling and guidance on follow-up procedures, giving participants time to consider adoption carefully.
Sono Pet Club & Resort Vivaldi Park, where the event was held, is a leading premium pet complex equipped with some of the country's best facilities, including rooms designed for pets, a variety of pet-friendly restaurants and a natural grass playground.
"We are glad to help retired quarantine detection dogs begin a warm second chapter in life by meeting new families through this bonding trip," an official at Trinity Airways said. "We will continue to pursue a range of corporate social responsibility activities that create social value and spread positive influence."
