The news is brutal — for Democrats and the fraudsters they enable. But while fraud spreads in blue states under Democrat single-party rule, David French concludes that voters want to punish Republicans for it.

In Virginia, the powerful Democrat state Sen. Louise Lucas has been indicted on racketeering and money laundering charges, with wiretap evidence that prosecutors say captured her talking about grabbing her chance to build “generational wealth.”
In Democrat-run Minnesota, federal prosecutors are stacking bodies over the Feeding Our Future “nonprofit” scheme that defrauded the Federal Child Nutrition Program by utilizing fake dining centers to steal hundreds of millions of dollars. In one of the most crushingly obvious realities that sits at the absolute dead center of our political discussion, Nick Shirley found a bunch of child care centers with no children and a bunch of medical transportation companies with no vehicles. Everyone knows this connection: Minnesota Democrats, massive fraud.
In California, relentless and ubiquitous homeless services fraud is also producing a growing wave of arrests and prosecutions. The CEO of a nonprofit that supposedly provided transitional housing to the homeless while using the money on luxury goods and a mansion just entered a guilty plea to a fraud charge in federal court, while the finance official at another nonprofit who allegedly took kickbacks from that CEO in exchange for creating “ghost homeless” for his invoices is now awaiting trial. And so on: The head of another nonprofit allegedly used his government social services funding to open a vanity nightclub. A giant joint powers agency, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, is collapsing as elected officials pull its funding.
While social services in Los Angeles spiral down into crisis over ubiquitous fraud, two quite interesting fraud cases await their denouements in a notorious cesspool to the north. First, the former chief of staff to Gov. Gavin Newsom has pleaded guilty to fraud charges, and will be sentenced after the elections. She joins the former chief of staff to Biden-era HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra, who has also pleaded guilty and also awaits sentencing. Becerra is also almost certainly about to be elected as California’s governor, so Democrat-run California will have two Democrat governors in a row whose top aides are facing prison sentences following fraud convictions.
Once you start looking for blue state fraud, you can’t stop finding it. It’s everywhere. Pretty famously, HHS shut down 800 hospices and home health agencies in Los Angeles that were suspected of fraud, including billing Medicare but having no patients. Name something more obvious about blue states in 2026: Fraud is everywhere, and everyone knows it.
So here’s how David French guesses the upcoming elections will end, writing his groveling cuckold newsletter in The New York Times yesterday: “Imagine that it’s January 2027 and Democrats hold both chambers of Congress. They’ve been elected in a wave of public outrage over inflation, the war in Iran, and — crucially — public corruption. In fact, a Fox News poll taken shortly before the election showed that ‘corruption in government’ was the top concern of voters, even greater than inflation.”
Yes, voters outraged by corruption will punish the Republicans who are causing it, and turn instead to the brave Democrats who stand so passionately committed to eradicating it.
This man is an idiot, and more worthless than a literal turd. Brutally stupid, reflexively wrong, ritually cringing and mincing, invariably deaf to the most crushingly obvious reality, French draws his paycheck for a kind of minstrel act in which he endlessly dances in kneepads and a leather gimp hood while his leftist masters throw pennies at his feet. What a way to live.
A quite recent chief of staff to Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom is awaiting sentencing for fraud, and a Democrat state senator has been indicted on racketeering charges, and the homeless services NGOcracy in deep blue Los Angeles is imploding in a string of fraud arrests, so David French says that voters who are tired of fraud blame Republicans and will elect Democrats. Does he remember what it was like to be a person? How does he tolerate living this shamefully? What thoughts pop into his head as he climbs out of his stall in the morning and pulls on his kneepads?
He’s not even trying for plausibility anymore. He just does his minstrel act and cashes the checks. You can’t demean and degrade David French — that’s his job.
