BioBeauJ said it aims to extend its record-breaking performance by expanding overseas sales of Celivion, an extracellular matrix (ECM) skin booster, and its in-house developed filler. While wider cosmetics sales in the U.S. drove this year's results, the company plans to sustain growth next year by selling Celivion in Japan and seeking regulatory approvals for its filler in Europe, China and Brazil.
Yang Joon-ho, chief executive of BioBeauJ, said in an interview with The Seoul Economic Daily at the company's office in Seoul's Gangnam district on the 19th that "both revenue and operating profit this year should mark the highest levels since the company was founded." BioBeauJ posted operating profit of 5.3 billion won in the first half of this year, already exceeding its full-year operating profit of 4.2 billion won in 2025.
Consensus estimates compiled by financial data provider FnGuide put full-year revenue at 38.1 billion won and operating profit at 10.4 billion won, up 33.6% and 146.0%, respectively, from a year earlier. If met, those figures would surpass the previous record set in 2024, when revenue reached 29.6 billion won and operating profit 9.2 billion won. "Considering that earnings are concentrated in the second half, full-year results could come in slightly better than brokerage estimates," Yang said.
The first-half rebound was led by rising cosmetics sales in the U.S. BioBeauJ has been expanding sales of its medical cosmetics brand Candolup (CDL) through local pharmacy chains, pop-up stores and Amazon. U.S. revenue climbed from about 300 million won for all of last year to roughly 7.1 billion won in the first half of this year alone. "After cosmetics, Celivion will play the key role in second-half earnings," Yang said. "We are concentrating our sales and marketing resources on raising Celivion's market share."

Celivion is an ECM product containing high-concentration collagen aimed at skin recovery and regeneration. It is manufactured by Orthotech and sold exclusively by BioBeauJ. Supply to domestic hospitals and clinics began in late May, followed by an official launch event in September. "Hospitals already carrying the product are placing repeat orders," Yang said, adding that its differentiation lies in a low-temperature process that preserves key proteins and produces small, uniform particles. "We plan to focus on wrinkles on the neck and the back of the hands," he said, outlining a sales strategy targeting areas where the skin is thin.
The company is working to add domestic supply channels for Celivion while pursuing sales in Japan in the first half of next year. Talks with a local hospital chain are under way, and the company hopes to enter the market as early as the first quarter. It is also reviewing expansion into Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan. Yang expects about 60% of next year's Celivion revenue target of 20 billion won to come from the domestic market, with the remainder from overseas.
BioBeauJ also plans to widen overseas sales of Corena Premium, its in-house developed hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. Injected into the skin to add volume, the product received domestic approval in March this year and launched in September. "Fillers create viscosity and elasticity by mixing hyaluronic acid with a cross-linking agent, and people sensitive to that ingredient can develop swelling," Yang said. "No cross-linking agent was detected in finished-product testing of Corena Premium, so it is highly safe, and it injects smoothly, which makes it easier to shape." The company plans to use those features to target areas requiring delicate procedures, such as the lips and neck. European certification is under review, and approval procedures in China are proceeding through a local subsidiary. Documents for Brazil are being prepared, and the company is targeting approvals in all three markets next year while also building local distribution networks.
BioBeauJ is preparing to expand capacity to meet that rising overseas demand. The company plans to secure a site for a second plant in 2027 and begin commercial production in 2029. It is also considering increasing filler production capacity and bringing cosmetics manufacturing, which has been outsourced, in-house.
