Goodrem and partner Kai Widdrington received a bye through to next week “when it is hoped they will be able to dance again”, the broadcaster said. Strictly rules state that couples cannot miss two weeks due to injury.

However, it has now been confirmed that the Australian star will reenter the competition as they hit the dance floor once more on Saturday, October 24.
"Following her bye last week due to injury, we’re delighted to confirm Delta has been given the all clear to dance again this weekend,” a post on the official Strictly Come Dancing Instagram read.
"She'll return to the #Strictly ballroom on Saturday night, and Abi Clarke will pop into her rehearsal room for a chat on Training Room Diaries on Wednesday evening.”
Host Josh Widdicombe commented “Woo hoo!” under the post, while It Takes Two host Ellie Taylor wrote: “Hurrah!’
Professional dancer Katya Jones wrote: “Yay,” whilst fellow celebrity contestants Tabby Stoecker and Cach Mercer also expressed their congratulations.
It has been reported that Goodrem injured herself whilst training in Week Three, though powered through and managed to receive the highest score for a second week running.
However, just hours later the 41-year-old ended up in A&E after struggling to sleep due to the pain. She was THEN back in the hospital on Monday, October 12, where she was advised to rest and skip Icon’s Week.

The news was announced via It Takes Two host Ellie Taylor, who read out a statement from Goodrem, who was supposed to portray Olivia Newton-John as her icon of choice.
”I'm absolutely gutted that a rib injury means I won't be able to dance on Strictly this week,” the statement began.
“I've been loving every second of this experience, so having to sit this one out is heartbreaking – especially after the high of Saturday night.
“I cannot tell you how much I love being a part of this magical show. I'm going to focus on resting and recovering, and hopefully I'll be back on that dancefloor very soon.”
