Kathmandu, Oct. 21: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has expressed hope that Dashain, being celebrated this year amid tragedy and grief, will bring Nepalis closer together and strengthen the bonds of national unity and solidarity.
In a message issued on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami 2083 BS today President Lamichhane paid tribute to those who lost their lives in disasters and extended heartfelt condolences to their bereaved families.
Recalling the painful circumstances surrounding this year’s festival, he noted that many lives had been lost and thousands of families displaced and rendered homeless, leaving many people to observe the festive season amid sorrow and uncertainty.
