Glance has added real-time product data and native checkout to its personal shopping platform through a new agentic commerce integration with PayPal, Glance said in a Thursday (Oct. 15) press release.
Glance, which is backed by global technology company InMobi, is embedded on 60 million phones and connected TVs through relationships with device manufacturers. The platform brings artificial intelligence (AI)-powered shopping to consumers, allowing them to generate images of themselves to virtually try on clothes and then share the looks with friends, according to the release.
Now, with the integration with PayPal, shoppers on Glance can use PayPal to complete their purchase without being redirected to another site, the release said.

For retailers, the integration provides a way to extend their storefront to the Glance platform. They can use PayPal’s agentic commerce services to connect to multiple AI-powered shopping experiences, surface real-time product information and complete transactions, per the release.
“Glance meets consumers at the moment of inspiration, before they’ve even thought to search,” Mansi Jain, chief operating officer at Glance, said in the release. “Bringing native PayPal checkout into that experience means we can now carry consumers from the moment something catches their attention through purchase in the same flow.”
PayPal is the only partner to provide native in-app checkout on Glance, according to the release.
“Our goal is to help prepare merchants for a future where commerce can happen anywhere,” Mike Edmonds, vice president of agentic commerce at PayPal, said in the release: “As emerging AI shopping agents like Glance change how people shop, PayPal gives a reliable way to buy with confidence.”
PYMNTS reported in July that PayPal is preparing for a commerce environment in which AI agents, digital identity and financial services change what its familiar checkout button needs to do. During a second quarter earnings call, executives said they expect agentic payments and digital identity to become increasingly significant.
Meanwhile, Glance announced in June that it partnered with Samsung to bring its agentic commerce technology to all 2020 and later Samsung smart TV models in the United States. The company said this collaboration lets people shop from their living rooms.
