The EAEU report was publicized yesterday, literally hours ago. It is quite extensive, and we are getting familiarized with it, analyzing, and shaping Armenia's conduct and position. Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan on Wednesday told this to reporters, regarding the report on the possible consequences of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Treaty’s termination for Armenia.
When asked whether there is a mechanism for expulsion from the EAEU, the minister noted that the Armenian side is not aware of such a mechanism.
According to Mirzoyan, Yerevan will study this report and respond.
The minister added that the well-being of Armenia’s citizens, as well as the country's traditional trade ties with Russia and other EAEU countries, are important, but the most important thing is Armenia's sovereignty and independence.
"Our position [on the report] will be closely conditioned by the noted circumstances," added the minister of foreign affairs and international trade of Armenia.
