Olivia Wilde is celebrating her darling’s special day. Indeed, the Don’t Worry Darling director shared a rare glimpse into life with her and ex Jason Sudeikis’ daughter Daisy to mark her 10th birthday.
“This baby is 10 today,” Wilde wrote alongside a photo of Daisy as an infant on her Oct. 11 Instagram Story, “and this mama is in awe of her every day.”
She also went on to describe the tween while sharing several candid photos, calling her “the sweetest,” “the coolest” and “the funniest.”
Wilde-who also shares 12-year-old son Otis with the Ted Lasso star-also included a snap of Daisy at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields music festival, teasing that the “bad idea, right?” singer “threw a whole fest” for her birthday.
She concluded her tribute with a photo of her daughter in large sunglasses and a white sherpa coat, writing, “Happy birthday dream woman.”
For the Invite actress-who confirmed her romance with art dealer Caspar Jopling in June-balancing her career and motherhood has been the best challenge.
“Parenting forces you to be honest about how you live your life,” she told Vogue in January 2022. “It puts in sharp, clear focus decisions you’re making. I think we owe it to our children to be happy.”
“They sense it,” she added. “They’re so intuitive. The idea that you can trick your kids into thinking you’re happy is ludicrous.” Although she and Sudeikis split in 2020 after nearly a decade together, Wilde emphasised that their co-parenting relationship is stronger than ever.
“I really value the opportunity to be completely present with them, and then to hand them off to a very capable co-parent who is very present with them when he’s with them,” she explained on the Call Her Daddy podcast in June. “Then, I have this space, which is permission to then go work my ass off.”
“We are great coparents,” Wilde continued. “These kids are consistently getting the best of us in a way that, when we were together, was not possible because we did not work together, but we work really well as separated coparents.”
