Dubai: Are you ready to level up your cyber awareness?
The Dubai Police is gamifying Cybersecurity Awareness Month, as part of the "UAE is Safe With Your Digital Awareness" campaign, launched by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the Dubai Police General Command and the Dubai Electronic Security Centre.
It's time to sharpen your detective skills. The Dubai Police has organised a fun challenge that’s geared at testing your ability to detect hidden cyber threats – and you have the chance to win exciting prizes.
Here’s how you can participate:
The mission: Spot 10 hidden cyber threats on the Dubai Police’s eCrime Hub website – a dedicated portal that offers resources and tips on cyber awareness, as well as an easy way for individuals to report cybercrimes. The Dubai Police encourages you to become a ‘Cyber Guardian’ as you browse the website, find the bugs, and double-tap them to flag them.
Where to play: The eCrime Hub platform is accessible via ecrimehub.gov.ae.
When to play: For two days, the eCrime Hub is becoming a game zone:
- Competition starts: Friday, October 16, 6pm.
- Competition ends: Sunday, October 18, 6pm.
Prizes: The authorities have announced that prizes will be given away to winners, however more details will be revealed once the contest ends.
