Unitree has unveiled the H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian, a new humanoid robot capable of performing martial arts moves, lifting vehicles and landing from considerable heights. The company also advertises up to eight hours of standing endurance, although detailed hardware specifications, pricing and availability remain undisclosed.
Chinese robotics manufacturer Unitree has unveiled a new humanoid robot called the H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian. Unlike conventional humanoid robots designed primarily for industrial or domestic tasks, the H2-X is being showcased as a potential assistant for security and rescue. Unitree has released a promotional video showcasing the robot’s physical capabilities, including martial arts, acrobatics, and feats of strength that wouldn’t look out of place in an action movie.
The demonstration begins with the H2-X performing a series of high-impact movements against a car. It strikes the vehicle’s bodywork with enough force to leave visible dents, then executes an assortment of kicks, flips, and other martial arts manoeuvres. The robot also jumps from a platform about four metres high, lands on its feet, and maintains its balance.
In another scenario, the humanoid confronts an armed intruder threatening a woman, positioning itself between the two and apparently driving the attacker away. Yet another sequence shows it lifting the front of a vehicle to assist with a simulated rescue. At the same time, a separate demonstration depicts the robot pushing a child out of the path of an approaching car.
Unitree has not disclosed how much of the footage involves autonomous operation, remote control or predetermined movements. One noteworthy specification is the H2-X’s claimed maximum endurance of eight hours. However, the figure specifically applies to standing operation, meaning it should not be interpreted as eight hours of continuous walking, martial arts or physically demanding rescue work.
Unitree has yet to publish a comprehensive specification sheet for the H2-X. For reference, the existing Unitree H2 stands 182 cm tall, weighs approximately 70 kg and features 31 degrees of freedom. Its leg joints can deliver up to 360 Nm of torque, while its arm joints are rated for up to 120 Nm. The standard H2 also features an onboard computing system offering up to 2,070 TOPS of AI processing performance. Whether these specifications carry over to the H2-X remains unknown.
The standard H2 is currently listed at $29,900, but Unitree has not announced pricing or a release date for the H2-X. It is also unclear whether the new humanoid is intended for commercial deployment or primarily serves as a demonstration of the company’s latest robotics technology. This isn't Unitree's first attempt at demonstrating a humanoid robot's martial arts capabilities. In October 2025, the company showcased its much smaller G1 humanoid performing increasingly complex kung fu routines, including spinning kicks and somersaults. The new H2-X builds on that broader theme of robotic agility demonstrations, albeit using Unitree's larger H2 platform and placing greater emphasis on physical strength and potential security applications.
