Authenticity, family laughter and effortless online charm
We at Briefly News caught up with content creator Jaun to talk about her family's natural chemistry and playful approach to creating content together.
When asked about her husband always looking like he is having a blast hyping everyone up in the background and how he feels about joining in on the dance videos, Jaun shared:
"My husband is actually a very shy and “serious” person- he actually likes to live a very private life-then he met me, and I discovered TikTok bwahahah😂🙌🏽. He actually admitted to really enjoying featuring in some of the videos. He phoned me bragging about going to the petrol station, and some of the employees recognised him, lol 😂.”
The team asked how long it usually takes the family to practice before recording, considering how well-coordinated their routines appear:
“We NEVER “practice” as a family I’m the only one learning the dances and I tell them (we actually joke around) because I will go to them and say “Okay team tomorrow is….then Eliana will answer are we making a video again and at the same time my husband will say oh, mommy needs us to slay again” and I will reply yes tomorrow is “fit check “ and Eliana will say AND SHE WILL SAY THIS EVERY SINGLE TIME “oh we are always slaying and praying“😭😂😂 we take one video and that’s it! I never want it to become “not fun”. I don’t want perfect, and I’m definitely not going to have my 4yr old do a video 500 times. We’re always having fun, AND WE WANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY🥰🫶🏽.”
When asked whether she expected this specific clip to resonate so strongly and receive so much love online, Jaun expressed:
“Yes I knew the video will preform because the community we landed are so welcoming and kind and they are always bringing such a great vibe in the comment sections I think people I know it’s just from their screens but I think and I hope that’s what we give when posting our videos people can feel this is truly a genuine South African family it’s always funny it’s natural and everybody is JUST themselves and my daughter has a big personality and I knew after the moves she gave people were going to smile/laugh vibe and just have a lekker time during the video(s) they are always ready for us.”
Mzansi reacts to wholesome family moment
