A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Barcelona enjoyed a moment to remember on Saturday evening. The Blaugrana star in question? Rodri.
Midfielder Rodri of course swapped Manchester for Catalunya back in August, in a big-money move from Premier League heavyweights Man City.
The 30-year-old has spent recent weeks establishing himself as a key figure in the Barcelona midfield, in from the off for the latest occasion this evening against Real Betis.
And as alluded to above, Rodri has since gone on to make the outing one which will live long in the memory from an individual standpoint.
After Valentín Gómez cancelled out Lamine Yamal’s stunning early opener, Rodri rose highest to nod home from a corner late in the first-half, in the process restoring the visitors’ advantage.
This marked the World Cup winner’s very first goal in Blaugrana colours, a special moment for a player who has already captured the hearts of his new club’s fanbase.
