Earlier on Sunday, news circulated on state-run television BTV and various media outlets that Prime Minister Tareque Rahman had instructed State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain to resign from the cabinet. However, no official statement was available from the government or relevant authorities regarding this matter. Following this incident, news of Ishraque Hossain being instructed to resign circulated on Sunday night. At that time, he informed the media over the phone that he was receiving hundreds of calls on the matter and was urging everyone not to believe in rumors.
Now, everyone’s attention is focused on what Ishraque Hossain will announce before journalists at the National Press Club on Monday at 2 PM.
