The media office of former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has denied reports that he was arrested, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement, the former governor’s camp said the court order dated September 9, 2026, which was cited in connection with the controversy, had been vacated on September 14, 2026.
It challenged the Imo State Government to provide evidence to substantiate reports of the alleged arrest, insisting that Okorocha was never arrested, detained or released on bail.
“Falsehood has never prevailed over truth,” the statement declared.
The former governor’s camp also demanded an apology from the state government over what it described as the spread of misinformation.
The statement did not provide further details of the circumstances surrounding the court order or the reports that prompted the denial.
