Sainsbury’s has everything you need to create the perfect Halloween.
Halloween is about more than pumpkins and spooky decorations. If you’re looking for a fun way to surprise someone this October, boo baskets are a lovely idea that puts a personal spin on seasonal gifting. I love the thought of putting together a little hamper filled with Halloween treats, cosy bits and pieces and a few surprises chosen especially for the person receiving it. And if you’re wondering where to start, Sainsbury’s has plenty of inspiration for creating a basket that feels suitably spooky without needing to spend a fortune.
What is a boo basket?
If you’ve spotted boo baskets popping up on social media, you might be wondering what all the fuss is about. Essentially, a boo basket is a gift hamper filled with Halloween-themed goodies, from chocolate and sweets to little gifts, cosy accessories and seasonal decorations. Think of it as a Halloween version of a Christmas hamper, with everything gathered together to create one thoughtful present.
How to make a Halloween boo basket
The easiest way to get started is to choose a basket or reusable container and build it up with a mix of treats and small gifts. You don’t need to fill every inch with expensive items, either. A few well-chosen goodies, some colourful tissue paper and a Halloween ribbon can make the finished basket feel special.
Sainsbury’s has lots of ideas if you need inspiration, particularly if you want to combine edible treats with seasonal extras in one shopping trip. You could start with Halloween sweets and chocolate, then add a few non-food gifts to make the basket feel more personal. Choosing items in autumnal shades of orange, purple and black is another easy way to bring everything together.
What I like most about the boo basket trend is how easy it is to make it your own. You don’t need a huge budget or dozens of products to create something thoughtful; a handful of favourite treats, a small gift and a few Halloween finishing touches can be more than enough.
Sainsbury’s has so much choice for Halloween sweets, chocolate and seasonal extras, it’s worth having a browse if you’re planning a spooky-season surprise this year. Whether you’re making one for your best friend, your other half or a family member, a boo basket is a fun way to share a little Halloween happiness.
