DIMAPUR: Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen, launched the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) WhatsApp chatbot during the State Level Steering Committee meeting held at the Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima, on October 16, 2026.
According to DIPR report, the chatbot has been designed as a single window platform to address queries from candidates and citizens on skill training programmes, access to skill loans, the Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI), compliance related services, and general Mission updates.
The initiative was expected to enhance public access to NSEDM services, minimise manual data entry, streamline application processes and improve overall efficiency in service delivery.
During the meeting, NSEDM signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima, to strengthen skill development, digital capacity building and employment opportunities for youth in Nagaland.
The Memorandum of Understanding provides for collaboration in key areas including skill development, certification and quality assurance, placement and employment, digital infrastructure, entrepreneurship and innovation, and institutional capacity building.
As part of the agreement, NIELIT Kohima will design and deploy a unified skilling portal, which is expected to become operational by December 2026.
