KUALA LUMPUR: Pantech Global Bhd, a manufacturer and exporter of carbon steel and stainless steel butt-weld pipe fittings and stainless steel welded pipes, delivered stronger financial performance in 1H FY27, with profit growth outpacing revenue growth as the group strengthened profitability amid evolving market conditions.
For Q2 ended Aug 31, 2026 (FY27), the group recorded revenue of RM173.7 million, up 36.9% from RM126.9 million in the same quarter a year earlier.
Profit from operations rose 74.7% to RM27.0 million, while profit before tax (PBT) increased 82.6% to RM24.7 million.
Profit after tax (PAT) rose 89.5% to RM19.3 million, up from RM10.2 million in Q2 FY26.
Stronger quarterly performance was driven by higher sales volume and improved average selling prices, along with a more favourable product mix and improved operating leverage.
The group’s pricing measures also helped offset higher raw material and energy costs.
For 1H FY27, revenue increased 32.0% to RM333.4 million from RM252.5 million a year earlier.
Profit from operations rose 51.1% to RM50.5 million, while PBT grew 57.5% to RM46.3 million. PAT increased 60.6% to RM35.7 million from RM22.2 million in 1H FY26, reflecting stronger earnings growth relative to revenue.
Reflecting its continued commitment to shareholder returns, the board has declared a first interim single-tier dividend of 2.2 sen per ordinary share for FY27 payable on Dec 16, 2026.
Commenting on performance and outlook, group managing director Adrian Tan said the group’s 1H FY27 performance reflects the business’s resilience and its continued focus on balancing sales growth with profitability.
“Higher sales volumes and improved average selling prices, together with a more favourable product mix and greater operating efficiency, supported stronger earnings despite the ongoing pressures from rising input costs.
“Looking ahead, we remain focused on sustaining our business momentum in 2H of Fy27. We expect performance in 2H FY27 to be stronger than in 1H, supported by resilient demand across our key end-user industries and continued attention to pricing discipline, cost management and operational efficiency.
“At the same time, we remain mindful of uncertainties surrounding geopolitical developments, trade policies and raw material prices, which could affect market demand and margins.
“We will remain disciplined in navigating market conditions and focused on strengthening the group’s operating performance for the remainder of the financial year,” he said.
