Sri Lanka have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Pakistan, with Pathum Nissanka returning to the side subject to fitness clearance.
Kusal Mendis will lead the team in the World Test Championship series, with the opening Test scheduled in Rawalpindi from November 9 to 13, followed by the second Test in Lahore from November 17 to 21.
Nissanka, who missed Sri Lanka’s tour of India in August due to a wrist injury, has been included in the squad, although his fitness will be assessed before the opening Test.
Dilshan Madushanka has earned a recall, while Eshan Malinga and Anjala Bandara have also been included.
However, opener Lahiru Udara has been left out despite scoring 188 against the West Indies in June. Wicketkeeper-batter Niroshan Dickwella has also missed out on selection.
Sri Lanka currently sit seventh in the World Test Championship standings, while Pakistan are ninth.
