Brandi Glanville is "gutted" after the death of her father aged 77,.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has announced the devastating news, which comes as she is struggling with her own health and desperately searching for answers.
On Saturday (10.10.26), she wrote on X: "My dad died, I'm gutted I hate this life right now."
Brandi, 53, ended the post with a broken heart emoji.
The reality star didn't reveal her father's cause of death in the emotional social media message.
Last week, Brandi revealed she was set to undergo exploratory surgery for her facial disfigurement, as she is "excited to get my life back".
Speaking on her own Unfiltered podcast, she said: "I’m afraid for my health. Like, I don’t know what’s making me sick."
Brandi believes that her health struggles are being caused by a parasite.
She noted that after telling a doctor that she doesn't "feel like my neck is part of my body", she was told: "There’s a whole extra piece here … It’s like something made a cove for itself. It’s so crazy.”
The exploratory surgery is scheduled in the next couple of weeks, and they will examine her eustachian tubes, gums, and sinuses.
She added: "I am so excited. These past four years. I didn’t think I was going to make it.
“They’re going to go in and hopefully put a balloon in my eustachian tubes and clear that out so that everything can drain.”
Taking to Instagram earlier last month, Brandi revealed that she has been diagnosed with "highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and Mononucleosis".
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), ESBL Klebsiella is a kind of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Mayo Clinic says Valley fever is a fungal infection, while Cleveland Clinic describes Demodex as “a type of mite that lives in human hair follicles, usually on your face".
Her friend Gina Rodriguez launched a GoFundMe page to help cover Brandi's medical bills, as she faces costs of $7,000 a month after insurance.
The reality star said on a recent episode of Brandi and James Maas' Unfiltered podcast, she said: "I’m embarrassed, honestly, ‘cause I don’t like to ask for help, and I never thought I would do this.
"And she's like, 'You have no choice.'
"If I stop paying, I won’t get my medication, and then I won’t make any progress."
Meanwhile, she recently insisted she has become "isolated" from her friends.
Asked about her support network, she told TMZ: "I have my kids. To be honest, my friends were great but I isolated. They would call but I wouldn't pick up, I wasn't answering my text because I wouldn't have any new news.
"And a lot of them didn't believe anything was happening to me. They were worried it was just depression.
"It's my fault because I just wanted to deal with this myself, 'cause it's hard to explain and I didn't have answers for it."
