Bayern Munich have no plans to make a move for Florian Wirtz, according to supervisory board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Rummenigge believes the Bundesliga champions already have plenty of options in the number 10 role, with Jamal Musiala, Lennart Karl, Serge Gnabry and summer signing Ismael Saibari all capable of playing there.
Wirtz joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2025 for a reported £116m, but things have not quite gone to plan so far.
The German remains an undisputed starter, although he has struggled to produce the numbers he regularly managed at Leverkusen, where he recorded 57 goals and 65 assists in 197 appearances.
This season, Wirtz has registered just one assist in six games, while his first 39 Premier League appearances have brought an average of 0.16 goals and 0.18 assists per game.
There are still signs of his creative quality. Wirtz ranks in the 90th percentile for chances created among attacking midfielders in Europe’s top five leagues since last season. However, his assist numbers sit below the 50th percentile, while his chances created and touches in the opposition box have both dropped significantly since moving to Liverpool.
