J.J. McCarthy made his Giants’ debut last week with two carries for two yards against the Commanders, but his role grew on Sunday against the Saints, and it was a roller coaster.
Jameis Winston started the game at QB for New York, but he struggled. He was 14 of 26 for 152 yards, one touchdown and two picks before he was benched in favor of McCarthy with the score at 34-10. Things started horribly for McCarthy, who threw an interception on his first drive.
