Acemagic has launched the W1-5400U, an affordable mini PC powered by the AMD Ryzen 3 5400U. It's available with up to 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and there are two M.2 slots for SSDs. The starting launch price is CNY 1,599, about $234.
The recently introduced W1-5400U has been launched in China. It's an affordable mini PC that's powered by a relatively old AMD processor, but for the price, it's a good option for light workloads, media needs, and office work.
Specifically, the mini PC packs the Ryzen 3 5400U under the hood, which is an entry-level processor from the Cezanne lineup. It has a four-core Zen 3 CPU configuration, and on the iGPU end, there's the Radeon RX Vega 6. This integrated GPU isn't as capable as something like the Radeon 780M or 880M, but it can tackle lightweight GPU-bound tasks.
A notable highlight of the mini PC is that it has a compact 0.68-liter chassis, and with VESA support, it can be easily mounted on the back of a compatible monitor (HumanCentric mini PC mounting bracket curr. $14.99 on Amazon). While the W1-5400U has a small form factor, it comes with a generous selection of ports, including:
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
- 4x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- 1x 3.5mm audio
- 1x HDMI 2.0
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x 1GbE
With HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C ports, the mini PC offers triple-display output support, with all ports supporting 4K at 60Hz. Other highlights include dual M.2 slots, up to 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and a low-noise cooling system.
In China, the Acemagic W1-5400U has a starting price of CNY 1,599 (around $234), which is for the configuration with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. The upper-end config has 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, and it goes for CNY 1,999 (about $299).
