Ahead of John Cena’s new film Matchbox The Movie, a globetrotting action movie starring him and costar Jessica Biel, Cena has revealed some of his favourite places to eat and drink around the world. More excitingly, a Vancouver restaurant has made the cut.
Cena made sure to shout out Vancouver steakhouse Elisa in his list of 11 favourite restaurants published on an Apple Maps guide.
“A diamond in Vancouver’s Yaletown district. The service, location, cuisine, and ambiance of Elisa have provided some of my most unforgettable moments,” wrote Cena.

We’re not surprised that Cena showed some love for the restaurant, as he’s been spotted numerous times at the establishment. Coincidentally, this is also the only Canadian restaurant to have made this list.
Additionally, Cena gave his suggestions for what people should try when they visit Elisa.
“Try the beef wellington and one of my favourite espresso martinis in the world,” he wrote.
Over the years, Cena has also made stops at numerous Vancouver establishments, including Hawksworth Restaurant, The Belgian Chocolate Cafe, Black + Blue, Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar, and Joe Fortes (which he said was his favourite restaurant in Canada following his visit in 2019).
As for Elisa, the swanky steakhouse from the Toptable Group has also received its fair share of recognition over the years, including being named among the best steakhouses in the world multiple years in a row, in addition to being a Michelin-recommended restaurant.
