Mastercard Chief Security Officer and former US Secret Service leader brings extensive expertise in cybersecurity, enterprise resilience and regulated industries as Bloo expands its AI-powered telemetry platform.
Bloo has announced that Michael H. Lashlee, Chief Security Officer at Mastercard, has joined its Advisory Board. He will advise the company on enterprise security strategy, the needs of large and regulated organisations, and global expansion as Bloo develops its enterprise telemetry infrastructure for security, IT operations and AI.
Lashlee brings extensive experience across cybersecurity, crisis response and the protection of critical systems. At Mastercard, he leads the global security organisation, overseeing areas including threat management, security architecture and engineering, cryptographic key management, business continuity and disaster recovery. He is also a member of Mastercard’s Management Committee.
Before joining Mastercard in 2016, Lashlee spent 25 years with the US Secret Service, serving as a special agent and supervisor on the protective details of Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. He also supervised the Counter Assault Team and later led the agency’s Forensic Services Division and Technical Security Division. He serves on the board of the Global Cyber Alliance and the advisory board of the European Cyber Crime and Fraud Investigators.
“Michael has spent his career at the intersection of security, resilience and some of the world’s most complex enterprise environments. His experience offers a valuable perspective on the challenge of turning vast volumes of telemetry into timely, actionable intelligence,” said Shomiron Das Gupta, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bloo.
“At Bloo, we believe telemetry should no longer be treated as an operational burden. With the right data foundation and AI, it can become one of the richest sources of enterprise intelligence. I am delighted to have Michael’s guidance as we build towards that future.”
“Large enterprises generate enormous amounts of security and operational data. The challenge is turning that data into the context needed to understand what is happening and make the right decisions quickly,” said Michael H. Lashlee, Advisory Board Member at Bloo.
“As AI becomes more integral to security and IT operations, the completeness and quality of underlying telemetry will become even more important. Bloo is taking an interesting approach by making enterprise telemetry more accessible and useful for investigation and decision-making. I look forward to working with Shomiron and the team as they develop the platform and expand globally.”
Building the Data Foundation for Enterprise AI
As organisations increasingly use AI to investigate incidents, analyse infrastructure and connect activity across systems, access to complete, high-quality telemetry is becoming critical. Data that has been discarded, filtered or never collected cannot be recovered when an investigation requires it.
Bloo is developing an enterprise telemetry Datafabric designed to provide long-term access to high-fidelity data across security, infrastructure, applications, networks, endpoints and identity systems. Its SynthAI capability uses this telemetry to help teams investigate incidents, understand activity across their technology environments and make informed decisions.
Together, the Datafabric and SynthAI underpin Bloo’s vision of Enterprise AI, or the Enterprise Brain: an AI-enabled foundation that can reason across an organisation’s digital activity using complete, trusted telemetry as context.
Lashlee’s appointment strengthens Bloo’s enterprise security expertise as the company advances its platform and expands its engagement with large organisations seeking to make better use of telemetry in increasingly AI-driven security and operations.
