The management of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has denied reports of an increase in students’ fees, saying it has adopted a uniform fee structure for the three state-owned universities in Kogi State.
The university made the clarification in a statement issued Tuesday by its Director of Public Affairs, Uredo Omale, following reports circulating on social media alleging an increase in school fees.
The management explained that the university had not increased its fees but had aligned its fee structure with those of the other two state-owned universities in accordance with the state government’s approval.

It urged members of the public who had concerns about the fees to verify the information by comparing the approved charges for corresponding departments and programmes across the three institutions.
The university also appealed to students, parents, guardians and other stakeholders to verify information through credible and official sources before sharing it on social media.
Reaffirming its commitment to responsible communication, the management urged students and members of the public to rely on the university’s official communication channels for accurate information.
