Saudi Arabia: 5 Drones Intercepted in the Eastern Province , Medina

Riyadh – The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday the interception of five drones launched toward the Kingdom, including some in the Medina region.
Ministry of Defense spokesman Turki al-Maliki wrote on the X platform: “Four drones launched toward the Kingdom were intercepted and destroyed.” In a second post, he clarified that the interceptions took place in the Eastern Province and the Medina region.
Al-Maliki, who did not specify who launched the drones, later announced the interception of another drone, also in the Eastern Province.
The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have escalated their attacks on Saudi Arabia this month, including strikes on Riyadh airport. One such attack on October 10 killed 13 people and injured hundreds more, marking the deadliest attack on Saudi territory in over a decade.
