Local sources in Nangarhar say that unidentified gunmen have killed a young man in the province.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Sunday, October 11, that the young man, named Ismail, was shot dead this morning in Surkh Rod district of the province.
The sources also said that Ismail was originally from Dara-e Noor district of Nangarhar province and worked as a driver.
The motive behind the young man’s killing remains unclear.
It is worth noting that two days earlier, another young man had been killed by robbers in the provincial capital.
This comes as criminal incidents, targeted killings, and armed robberies have increased in many provinces across the country in recent days.
