From Daniel Jones to Drake Maye, the Duke/UNC rivalry runs deep in football, just as it does in basketball. But where do the two universities stack up against each other on the gridiron?
Well, unfortunately for the Blue Devils, they don't sit nearly as close to the Tar Heels in football as they do on the basketball court. Ahead of Saturday's matchup, Duke currently trails UNC 40-65 in the all-time series, with four ties on record. From 1990 to 2011, the Blue Devils endured a terrible drought against Chapel Hill, going 1-21. However, the Blue Devils have turned things around in recent seasons, with back-to-back wins against the Tar Heels.
Despite a heartbreaking loss against Georgia Tech last week, that trend is expected to continue, as Duke enters Saturday's contest as slight favorites over their biggest rivals.
