Angel Reese’s one incident from Game 2 of the 2026 WNBA Finals is making massive headlines.
Following a four-point loss in the opening game, the Atlanta Dream have bounced back in the 2026 WNBA Finals with a comfortable 79-65 win over the Golden State Valkyries in Game 2 of the series.
Angel Reese was undoubtedly the star of the show with 30 points, 16 rebounds, and 3 assists in 34 minutes of playing time.
While many praised Reese for carrying the team on her back, one moment involving her from the third quarter has WNBA fans calling out the Dream star’s actions.
WNBA fans didn’t like Angel Reese’s furious reaction after being ignored for a pass
The moment happened in the third quarter with the score tied at 40-40, and Reese standing in the paint, demanding the ball. However, her teammates ignored her during the possession.
This led to an animated reaction from Reese, which didn’t sit well with WNBA fans on social media.
“Angel Reese got mad her teammates weren’t passing her the ball and just threw a tantrum like a toddler, then walked out of the play. Girl has a lot to learn if she ever wants to be a champion,” a fan wrote.
While another added, “At no point was she actually open after the initial entry into the post was missed at the start of the clip.” A third fan understood Reese’s reaction: “She had a moment in an intense game. It happens.”
“Even though I didn’t like her reaction, basketball-wise she was right,” another fan pointed out.
To be fair, Reese had the game of her life on the biggest stage and considering she was in red-hot form, it only makes sense for her to demand the ball on every possession.
At the end of the day, things worked out perfectly in her favour as the Dream will head back to Atlanta with momentum on their side ahead of Game 3 of the 2026 WNBA Finals.
